San Diego State University, Storm and Nasatir Hall Renovation, San Diego, CA, for C.W. Driver

Deep in the center of the SDSU campus is a 100,000 square-foot renovation project where the two existing vintage 1957 buildings (Storm and Nasatir Hall) are being renovated to meet current Health and Safety Code standards, correct deferred maintenance issues and improve energy conservation. In 2012, TRG implemented Last Planner® Milestone, Phase, Look-ahead and Weekly work planning.

Harvard Business School, Tata Hall Construction, Boston, MA, for Bond Brothers

harvard business school tata hallCommencing in 2012, led the project team in the implementation of Last Planner® System on the $100 million new additional facility for Executive Education and Housing on the Harvard Business School Campus.

Loyola Marymount University, Life Sciences Building (Design Phase), Los Angeles, CA, for C.W. Driver

This new Life Sciences Building will become the cornerstone of the Seaver College Complex with an open design to support the College’s sophisticated state-of-the-art student research which involves collaboration with peers and professors. In 2012, TRG began implementing Last Planner® processes with the design team.

San Diego Community College District's City College Arts & Humanities and Business Technology Buidings Construction, San Diego, CA, for SDCCD

San Diego Community College DistrictOn behalf of the San Diego Community College District as their managers of Pull Planning and lean resources as part of their Capital Improvement Program, led various construction teams in Last Planner System Training and Pull Planning, including on the $89M construction of the Arts & Humanities and Business Technology buildings at the San Diego Community College District's City College Campus.

  • Work Sessions Include Last Planner® implementation.

Cal Poly Pomona Student Recreation Center Construction, Pomona, CA, for C.W. Driver

On the campus of Cal Poly-Pomona C.W. Driver is constructing this 120,000-square-foot student recreation center. The state-of-art facility, which will seek a LEED-Gold rating, will feature a three-court gym, an elevated jogging track, racquetball courts, an outdoor pool area with a deck, and weight and fitness rooms. Construction occurs 2012-2013.

Western Michigan University, Classroom Building Construction, Kalamazoo, MI, for Clark Construction

wmu classroom In the Summer of 2011, TRG implemented Last Planner® Milestone, Phase, Lookahead and Weekly work planning on a project that had to be completed in the Summer of 2012.  The project was successfully completed

Monmouth College Science and Business Center Construction, Monmouth, IL, for Pepper Construction

monmouth college science and business centerIn 2012, TRG introduced the team to Last Planner® and Pull Planning during the construction of the Science and Business Center for Monmouth College. Weekly pull planning meetings uncovered opportunities to make up 2.5 weeks lost to weather related disruptions and also reduce budgeted overtime.

Los Angeles Unified School District's South Region Middle School #3 Construction, Los Angeles, CA, for Suffolk Construction

Los Angeles Unified School District South Region Middle School 3South Region Middle School 3 is a large middle school being built by the Los Angeles Unified School District in the Walnut Park neighborhood of Central Los Angeles. The project budget was almost $1 million. In 2011, TRG developed and implemented a Last Planner® system for the field staff in the trailers on site.

Los Angeles Unified School District's Garfield High School Expansion, Los Angeles, CA, for Turner Construction

garfield high school auditoriumIn 2012, TRG worked with Turner and LAUSD on conducting Alignment Partnering Sessions for the Garfield High School renovation. Construction includes the addition of a new replacement 1,400-seat auditorium, a three-story classroom building, and an administration building. 

Tuscany Elementary School, New Construction, Salinas, CA, for Blach Construction

tuscany elementary schoolDuring 2012, TRG implemented Last Planner® System on the new Tuscany Elementary School in Salinas, CA, consists of 7 buildings (4 classroom buildings, multi-purpose room, kindergarten, and administration facilities) on a 19 acre site, totaling approximately 50,000 square-feet. Using a Lease/Lease-Back delivery method, the project began March 2012 and is scheduled to be complete in June 2013, with a budget of $18.25 million

Northwestern University Mid-Campus Green Site Improvements, Evanston, IL, for Ragnar Benson

Commencing in 2012, TRG facilitated weekly work planning sessions on the hardscape project at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Texas Christian University, Horned Frog Stadium Replacement, Ft. Worth, TX, for Austin Commercial

tcu horned frog stadiumCommencing in December, 2011, TRG led the construction team in its efforts to demolish ½ the Horned Frog Stadium in Ft. Worth, Texas, immediately after the last game and completely rebuild it before the start of the next season. East stand construction was completed ahead of schedule and the stadium successfully hosted Grambling State on September 8, 2012.

University of California Berkeley, Lower Sproul Plaza Renovation, Berkeley, CA, for McCarthy Building Companies

Los Angeles Unified School District's South Region High School #9 Construction, South Gate, CA, for Turner Construction

south region high school 9In 2010, TRG conducted a kick-off Alignment Partnering Session and Introductory Last Planner System training during the construction of a new high school on a 36 acre site of contaminated soil where 30 foot deep excavations had to be made to remove all contamination and new replacement soil brought in prior to the start of construction. 

Los Angeles Unified School District's South Region High School #7 Construction, Huntington Park, CA, for McCarthy Building Companies

marquez high schoolLAUSD's Marquez High School construction, in Huntington Park, CA, is a project consisting of a 9-acre campus housing 60 classrooms for up to 1,620 students per semester in grades 9 through 12. The facility houses three independent programs: The Libra Academy, a group of some 300 which offers college preparatory classes; the Huntington Park High School of Applied Medicine; and the School of Justice. This project opened on time for the Fall 2012 school year.

San Diego Community College District's City College Future Sciences Classroom Construction, San Diego, CA, for Rudolph and Sletten

Brown University, Laboratory Mechanical Renovation, Providence, RI, for Brown University

Commencing in 2012, in association with Hansen Bridgett, TRG led the IPD team assembled at Brown to renovate a significant, occupied Laboratory building. After the initial team integration, TRG continued work on the project by implementing Last Planner® System training and coaching.
