canal relining paversTRG acted as the facilitators on one of two All American Canal Relining Projects in Imperial County. This was a $300 million project to provide adequate canal capacity to bring into California 85% of the State’s Colorado River allotment. Parties had dramatically accelerated the schedule for completion due to environmental concerns addressed outside of the contract. Acceleration meant that drops into hydroelectric production facilities would be made during the high water season. The owner was uncomfortable with the submittals concerning water issues and stopped the project. TRG facilitated a resolution through peer review that was accomplished in the week following the session.

  • The project was ultimately awarded the APWA Public Works Project of the Year: Environmental Over $75 Million
